Take a Breath

Breathe In, Breathe Out.

I often tell myself,

when struggles gets hard

and life grows tough.

Breathe In, Breathe Out.

I like to slow down

and melt into my hammock

on the seashore as I,

Breathe In, Breathe Out.

After running a distance

and my body grows weary,

I’m determined to succeed

as I,

Breathe In, Breathe Out.

Pre-test jitters

rampid thoughts elude me

as the exam is placed on my desk

and I,

Breathe In, Breathe Out.

My spirits are lifted

as he kisses my face lovingly

and I blush roses.

Breathe In, Breathe Out.

I wonder about failure,

where I will be.

Should I take the path of uncertainty?

Just,

Breathe In, Breathe Out.

Time is precious

as I learn to take life easy.

In the end I always remember to

Breathe In, Breathe Out.
